30 kilometers south of Da Nang, different from other crowded and noisy travelling centers and cities, Hoi An ancient town, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in December 1999, is a place to find peace, to explore ancient and nostalgic beauties. Hoi An, an Eastern oriental culture, is situated on the banks of the poetic Thu Bon River, in central Quang Nam province, with small streets for walking, along with old-town houses such as Japanese-designed bridge, pagodas, wooden shop-houses, French-colonial houses and old canals. On the 14th day of each lunar month, the town trades its electric lights for traditional colored lanterns. Hoi An is also known for its delicious food, fun shopping, skilled tailors, friendly people and cozy atmosphere.
